Eaton Global Research Lab is the prospective R&D and technical innovation center of Eaton Company. Currently, Eaton Global Research Lab is located in 7 cities of 4 countries and has more than 190 of the world's top engineers and scientists.
Eaton China Research Lab is located in the Asia-Pacific regional headquarter of Eaton. 70% of the team members are PhDs and most members have overseas education background. Our team leads several Eaton top research projects global-wise and owns a hundred of Chinese and US patents.
☛ Elite Intern Program （6 months+）
We work with leading higher education institutions around the world to find potential young talents and help them improve their skills. If you want to be part of us, we will offer you a variety of opportunities. You can either apply for the Elite Intern Program/ Summer Intern Program, or complete your thesis with us. We can also visit your university and hold lectures or related event if you are interested.
The excellent engineer internship program lasting for 6 months is an unique intern training program of Eaton China Research Lab. Your technical knowledge from school will be applied through completed R&D project working experience. We provide general skill training such as office software, business writing, Time management, team communication, etc. and help you to understand HOW Eaton & R&D RUNS EVERYDAY. Accommodation and transportation subsidies have been included in intern salary package, and program scholarships will be sent out based on internship performance. Fresh graduates, preparatory Ph.D. and master degree candidates are welcomed.

Internship Positions
1. PROPOSED INTERNSHIP THEME : Design of Electric Vehicle Drive Frequency Converter
HC:2
WORK TO BE DONE BY THE STUDENT: Assist instructors in power electronics related design and experiment, including building experimental platform, data acquisition, data analysis, design improvement, simulation calculation, contact with suppliers, building prototype machine, etc.
Knowledge and Skills Required: 1) Good understanding on power electronic devices and power electronics principle; 2) Be interested in laboratory work, familiar with basic circuit welding and power electronic testing instruments; 3) Strong data analysis capability, including efficiency analysis, loss calculation, waveform spectrum analysis, etc. 4) Experienced at stimulation software such as Matlab Simulink, Pspice; 5) Experience in PCB design is preferred
2.PROPOSED INTERNSHIP THEME : Medium Voltage Uninterruptible Power Supply
HC:2
WORK TO BE DONE BY THE STUDENT: Assist with the supervisor to do simulation, losses analysis, electrical circuit establishment and evaluation of the relevant cost, topology as well as power density.
Knowledge and Skills Required: 1) Proficient at power electronics apparatus; 2) Familiar with power electronics principles; 3) Good at Simulink simulation environment; 4) Good documents and data searching capability.
